To cater for people who like to travel with their pets two FULLY FENCED cottages have been set aside solely for their use.
As we are carpet free (polished boards) Pets are WELCOME INSIDE these set aside cottages.
Miles of car free, riverside walks begin at your back gate. Full details of these walks (starting points, destinations, times taken, features, etc) are all given upon booking.
Across Tyntynder Lane (a tiny, wee street with only 3 houses in it that finishes at the Ovens River 50 metres away) is a large park for ball throwing, etc.
Menus and details of doggy friendly eateries and restaurants are provided in each cottage.
Dog bowls, dog bedding, pooper scoopers – all are provided.
A one off fee of $40 per pet per stay applies – not per night – to cover extra cleaning for health regs., etc.
To minimize disturbance to other guests, dogs under no circumstances are to be left unattended – either in the cottage or in the garden.
When you go out they must go with you-unless they are being doggy sat.
At night the doggy sitter comes to your cottage – during the day you have a choice – in house pet sitting or at a location 2 minutes away.
The tariff for pet sitting is $5 per pet per hour during the day at the location 2 minutes away. This allows your dog to socialize as there could be other dogs at this location. If you wish to have your pet doggy sat in the privacy of your own cottage (i.e. individually in your own cottage) the cost is $35 for 3 hours – this is available day or night. The in-house tariff is the same for up to 2 dogs.
Details are in the house when you arrive or please ask at time of booking if you know in advance when you will need her as our pet sitters can be heavily booked.
Doggy Cleaning
Please note additional fees apply to excessive dog hair and dirt on furniture. Similarly extra charges will apply if we have to collect your dog droppings or bones from the garden. Please take 5 minutes before you leave to check furniture and rugs are fur free and all droppings and bones are collected in bags and placed in the bin
