Great garden for bear hunting with my best friend, Mr Walt the Dog
Noah D. (aged 2) & Mr Walt The Maltese – Jerrabomberra – June , 2008
It was more than just the clean, well equipped accommodation – everything was considered. Nothing was left to chance. A wonderful place.
Sandra O’B – Port Macquarie - June, 2008
Tyntynder Lodge has impressed us. It was warm, cosy & comfortable. There are great walking tracks and lots of cafes and restaurants.
Melanie A. – Warranwood - May, 2008
As our last getaway before the baby comes we wanted to have a nice break. The gorgeous setting, the river walks and the open fire were perfect and we will leave today feeling rested and happy – the ‘sign of a good break’. Thank you
Sally D. – Mentone – May, 2008
Bailey, our 4 year old golden retriever had the time of his life at Tyntynder Lodge. After walking to Eurobin during the day he was able to warm his tired bones at night in front of the fire. He loved being near the river and having his own backyard.
Lyndall A – Mt Eliza – May, 2008
Lovely walks by the river and into town. Bird life was wonderful. Very warm fire for cold nights. Very, very clean. We all had a ball and will be back.
Brett & Lea N. – Parkdale – May 2008
Tyntynder Lodge provides a warm welcome to everyone. This is our second visit and we already have booked for next year.
Mavis C. – Mansfield – May, 2008
We have recently moved from W.A. to Vic and never before have we found such a perfect place for our family. It is so nice to be made feel so welcome. The house/cottage has everything and it is so clean!
Cree M. – Surrey Hills – May, 2008
Having the river virtually at your back door is just heaven.
Erica A. – North Balwyn – May, 2008
Tyntynder Lodge is the best holiday accommodation I have ever stayed in. It is so very comfortable for both owners and dogs. Inside is so very clean and well furnished. It is all a very good size and the fully fenced back garden is perfect. Everyone involved is very friendly.
Janice P. – Myrniong – May, 2008
The unit was spotlessly clean and contained every comfort we needed to have a great holiday. For the week we were here Tyntynder became our home. We were able to totally relax and enjoy the lovely outlook and even though the weather was fairly cold we were kept warm and cosy by the log fire which has an endless supply of wood. There was also an air conditioner (RC) for the times the fire was not going.
The unit was quite new with all of the mod cons for our enjoyment – viz. LCD TV, dishwasher, good sized refrigerator and a modern kitchen plus it was very, very nicely furnished.
We had a lovely time – thank you
Bill & Jan M. – Vermont South – May, 2008
Lovely garden setting, close proximity to the river and nice strolls into town. A great holiday spot with the added bonus of being incredibly clean.
Valda McD. – Pearce, ACT – April, 2008
Great backyard and plenty of room. Lovely warm, clean accommodation. Lots of nearby great walks and things to smell. We didn’t need to be on leads much and we were allowed inside – just like home. Our owners had a great time as well. It is all just fantastic.
Shone G. – Thornbury – April, 2008
We found the accommodation of such a high standard – everything we needed for a restful, peaceful stay. Sitting on the verandah, overlooking the garden and relaxing; with the bush in the distance it was a truly serene environment. Thanks.
Anne C. – Sebastopol – April, 2008
This is a fantastic place to stay – warm, clean and well equipped.
Maureen & Mel D. – Keysborough – April, 2008
The accommodation is great here – the garden enclosure is absolutely perfect.
Michelle H. – Warrandyte – April, 2008
Why would you put your dogs in a kennel when this kind of accommodation exists. It was the best getaway we have had as a “full” family. What fun we all had.
Matilda S. – Mansfield - April, 2008
This place has the most wonderful grounds and facilities and it is so well maintained.
Michael T. – Mitcham – April, 2008
What a wonderful place! Lots of interesting walks, beautiful birds and comfortable, clean accommodation – we have had a beautiful 3 days.
Yvonne F. – Euroa – March, 2008
We all settled in really quickly. We especially loved sitting on the back porch in the sun. Everyone was catered for extremely well. Well done – we will be back.
Betty & Anne S. – Blackburn – March, 2008
The units are clean and well appointed in a peaceful location close to the river. There was a nice wood fire and plenty of room in our very own garden.
Nick & Juliana I. – Northcote - March, 2008
Just A short note to say a huge “Thank You” for an amazing holiday. What a wonderful place you have-certainly a “home away from home” – so well appointed and beautifully clean. We all had a wonderful time and it was so special to be able to spend our time together. Thank you. We will certainly be back and will recommend you to all we meet.
Marg, Sven, Emma & Kate J. – Beaconsfield Upper – March, 2008
It is a home away from home. You couldn’t ask for more. All facilities catered for. With lots of walks shops and restaurants and the river close – just perfect. None of us want to leave
Brian, Sue & Ashley H. – Ringwood – March, 2008
I found Tyntynder to be just like home. As soon as I walked in the door I noticed the place was very clean and tidy. I found a place for my bed in the main area of the house where I could see everything that was going on. The back garden made me feel safe and secure (as well as my “parents”) knowing that I couldn’t wander off or have unwanted guests who might not be as friendly as me. I loved sitting on my back porch where even if it was raining I could dine quite comfortably – as could my parents. I would recommend Tyntynder to all my friends and will intending to make a return visit.
Speckles (Border Collie) and P.A. Joanne M. – Boronia – March, 2008
Lovely clean modern cottage situated in a very attractive setting.
Jan C. – Lakes Entrance – March, 2008
We all fet at home the minute we arrived. The back garden is secure and well shaded and beautiful to sit in. Well done Tyntynder Lodge for a wonderful holiday for all of us.
Stephen B. – Carrum Downs – March, 2008
A few weeks ago my wife and I came here for the first time with our dog Bomber, a Maltese Shuitzu, for a weekend and we couldn’t believe a place like this existed. We are now on our 3rd visit – and this time it is for a week. It is fantastic with bush walking paths starting at your back gate. The facilities in the cottages are brilliant – there is everything that you could need. We are already planning our next holiday here we love it so much.
Darren S. – Albury – March, 2008 (3rd visit in 4 weeks)
Five Paws? If you want a private piece of paradise you will find Tyntynder ideal. If the rating system went to six I would give them a ten. Say no more nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
Belinda S. – Bacchus Marsh – February, 2008
Over the years we have stayed in many dog friendly accommodations. We all agree Tyntynder is the best – nice, clean, modern, lovely back garden (not a small concrete area fenced off), lovely walks nearby and the Ovens River – all just perfect.
Brian & Linda R. - North Croydon – February, 2008
The cottages are perfect for all the family. Peaceful and relaxing – what more could you want.
John & Sharon G – Kyneton – February, 2008
I have had the best time for the second time. I nagged my mum and dad after my first visit here to come back and we did. I have learnt to swim- how great was that – I am 2 years old and this was my first swim. I want to come back again – so I guess I will start nagging again.
Bomber (Maltese Shuitzu) and Personal Carer Nan S – Albury – February, 2008
The Lodge is like a home away from home – except its more relaxing. We all enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
Mark G. – Pascoe Vale – January, 2008
My name is Ket and this place is amazing from a doggy perspective. It’s the first place where I have been where I have had free range. Not only am I allowed inside but it has this huge amazing fully fenced garden for me to play or relax in. Or I can stay on my sheltered verandah and watch the world go by. Its only 100 metres to the river to swim or I can play with Barry the schnauzer having a holiday in the cottage next door. I’ve even been to some fabulous restaurants that are dog friendly – recommended by the owners. Oh – by the way my humans say it is really great for them here too.
Ket, Meredith & Peter M. – Caulfield South – January, 2008
I absolutely love this place because it is so relaxing and the bush is at your back door even though you are walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Bright. It’s a wonderful place and we haven’t found anything else like it ever. 10/10 for me.
Darren S. – Albury – January, 2008 (Returned twice more over the next 4 weeks)
This place is so spotlessly clean and delightful. We did not bring a pet and were worried that some of the cottage did allow pets. You would never know they were around. The gardens are large and very private. The pets that were staying in the other cottages were as quiet as could be (the owners must have their pets with them always). But it was the cottages that were so good – oh and the location in a quiet street near the river – oh and being able to walk to town along the river – in fact everything was just perfect. We are coming back.
Pat & Hugh F. – Camberwell – December, 2007
Tyntynder is set in a gorgeous and quiet location and is so close to lots of bush walks, swimming and town. The Lodge was beautifully maintained, clean and well equipped.. It was well priced and had everything we needed and close to day trips of every kind – we will definitely be back.
Peter & Belinda C. – Yackandandah -December, 2007
The facilities were fantastic for the dog, two teenage daughters and their parents. This meant everyone was happy, so it was a very relaxing weekend.
Jayne M. – Tallygaroopna – December, 2007
This is doggy heaven! Lush gardens to frolic away in all fully fenced and private – a river a stones throw away. And the walks – all lead free going for miles beside the beautiful Ovens River. Owners and their pets will never want to leave. We certainly don’t. Can’t wait to return.
Kirsty & Mitchell F. – Surrey Hills – December, 2007
Second visit here – beautiful cottage – all 5 star. Ideal location and grounds. Friendly staff
Graeme G – Glenhuntly – December, 2007 – 2ND VISIT
I felt like I had returned home – as always I had such a relaxing, comfortable and scenic holiday. The staff are always courteous, friendly and supportive.
Una C. Frankston – November, 2007 – 5TH VISIT
It was lovely, tidy neat and clean. Terrific back garden outside and fully equipped inside. The location is great.
Carolyn S. – Chirnside Park – November, 2007
Tyntynder is the perfect blend of home comfort and practicality. It is absolutely perfect inside and out.
Raquel C. – Merricks North – November, 2007
The cottage is extremely comfortable. The facilities were all we could hope for and the surroundings are beautiful.
Bel A. – Windsor – November, 2007
The facilities and accommodation are superb. Our two beautiful little dogs had a fabulous time. This was the first time they were introduced to the bush. I know we will not be able to match this stay elsewhere. The cottage supplied everything you could want. Private, exquisite – human and puppy friendly.
Theresa & Tony B. – Hughesdale – November 2007 (BOOKED AGAIN FOR JANUARY 2008)
We have all been made extremely comfortable – it is a joy to stay here
John G. – Kirrawee, N.S.W. – October, 2007
Very well presented, everything you need, very clean and had a nice feel to it. Lovely garden. We loved the pot belly stove.
John & Jillian B. – Balwyn – September, 2007
