“Just to, let you know the facilities were great and a good time was had by everyone. Thanks for providing such a wonderful place for us to stay”
Chris & Janice S – Altona, February, 2006
“Had a marvelous time. I did the walk to Wandiligong (just the Maze) – one of the nicest walks I’ve ever done. Hope to be back in autumn – the unit couldn’t be nicer, and the garden, etc. Many thanks for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.”
Robyn D. – Prahran, December 2005
“I am disabled, living in a wheelchair. I have trained my dog to be a disability aid. Having such a magnificent resort, which also caters for dogs is a priority, enriches my enjoyment of life. Words cannot express my gratitude nor my admiration. 4 stars."
P Callaghan, Churchill, October 2005
"The Animals are well catered for with outside beds, water bowls and a secure yard to roam in. There are plenty of places to exercise the dogs. Also the accommodation for the people is top notch, everything has been thought of and provides a definite home away from home."
M & L Naidoo, North Ringwood, September 2005
"Tyntynder is the most dog-friendly (and people-friendly) accommodation we have ever stayed in. With it’s beautiful fully fenced yards, decks for the barbeques and every modern convenience you could want inside. The units are so clean you would never know dogs are welcome inside."
R & W Robb, Doncaster, September 2005 (and three times before that)
"This facility caters for both dog and owner. Wonderfully appointed “human” accommodation and so welcoming for pets. Hints and tips for enjoying the area and providing “dog friendly” eateries and activities. All four of us couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome – congrats."
R & T Kempster, Maryborourgh, September 2005
"The accommodation was sensational, spotless and well appointed. Could not find one thing to complain about. The facilities were first class, with a fantastic outlook inside and out for our little dog. We will be back."
R Walker, Mt Martha, September 2005
"Cottages are outstandingly presented, are very dog friendly with excellent fencing and great location. Cottages are equipped with everything you need. Tyntynder is a must visit for dog owner or just anyone. We are very impressed."
F & C Hendricksen, Mt Evelyn, September 2005
"Tyntynder Lodge is absolutely beautiful, the furniture and fittings are of a very high standard that creates a home-away-from-home feel for both humans ad pooches, which is very reassuring. And not to mention a very well maintained garden. Conner gives it a paw of approval."
T Bullen, Eaglehawk, October 2005
"We have had a wonderfully relaxing visit. The unit was clean and well maintained, with a nice big yard for our dog to romp in. We were also in a quiet part of town with the river close by. Our dog would recommend it to all his four legged friends."
L & J Verbaken, Lake Gardens, October 2005
Beautiful serene surroundings
A river just a dog trot away
Room to indulge doggy behaviours
Karing hosts who let me inside
(Ok, my spelling is dodgy but I am only canine)
P Davies, Bendigo, November 2005
"The accommodation is very comfortable for people and for dogs. With a fully fenced yard I felt very secure knowing Bobby couldn’t get out. We all loved the quiet tranquil location with the Ovens River and walking tracks only just across the road. Bobby loved going in the water. I’m not sure how tired his legs are but mine are from all nature walks we have been on. Highly recommend."
L Sanderson, Essendon, November 2005
Oh no! We don’t know where to go
We rang Tyntynder Lodge at Bright
What a fabulous sight
The house spotless and clean
The best we have seen
We will return for sure
To enjoy this “heaven” some more.
L Van Buul, Monbulk, November 2005
"We love it here so much this is our second visit in 4 months. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful gardens and a decent sized yard. It is so peaceful here! The best thing is the close proximity to the River."
Melina A. Forest Hill, April 2005
"The cottage was spotlessly clean upon arrival. We had a lovely stay and will be back."
Melissa & Tim B. Mt Waverley, April & August, 2005
"What a wonderful place to stay! Room to stretch our legs, a beautiful garden to explore and bountiful walking paths with spectacular scenery at our back door. After so much adventure, curling up in front of the log fire at night was a wonderful way to end the day."
John R & Renee P, Traralgon, April, 2005

"The accommodation was great – a nice back verandah to keep an eye on the birds and trees and an ear on the River. A warm fire to sit in front of when socializing and a great yard to play in when not out walking."
Kala S & Emily K Anglesea, July 2005
"After staying at numerous holiday places Tyntynder surpasses all. Beautiful, immaculate cottages, great cooking faculties including a fabulous BBQ. This is our second stay and compared to others we feel that Tyntynder is an 8 paw rating. This is a home away from home. A great holiday really enjoyed by all."
Ron & Gill M. Caringbah May 2005 (2nd visit in May)
"Beyond our wildest dreams. We never thought it possible to find a four and a half star accommodation for us and our dog. Very private, right on the River, plenty of trails and an easy walk into the centre of Bright. This 2 bedroom cottage is cleverly renovated with modern furniture to be warm and welcoming with non-scratch wooden floor boards, plenty of space and a pot belly fireplace- the perfect spot for the whole family to curl up next to. The piece d’resistance is the fully fenced lawned garden surrounded by trees and native vegetation. Truly the ideal place for you and your best friend."
Talia & Warwick, Port Melbourne July 2005
The sofas were comfy
The kitchen was grand
A better weekend
We couldn ’t have planned
So will we return here?
We don’t have a choice
Cos this place is perfect
For our two furry boys
With lovely log fire
To keep us all warm
And a gorgeous fenced garden
To keep us from harm
A stones throw away
To a walk in the wood
We can honestly say
We never had it so good

"The unit was beautifully appointed and maintained & spotlessly clean. The best feature was a large, attractive completely enclosed garden. The location of the units was a plus- close to the Ovens River with lots of opportunities for river walks. We have stayed in other…accommodation, but this is by far the best"

"We had terrific time. The cottage was very comfortable and contained everything we needed. Loved the fire stove – cooked some chestnuts in the coals on a couple of nights. The weather was perfect and Bright has a shop that sells really nice ice cream to eat on the walk back to the cottage".

"I just wanted to thank you and your staff for having us at Tyntynder Cottages last weekend. I joined my parents for part of the stay and we were all pleased to find such lovely facilities. We had a very comfortable weekend and were thoroughly impressed by the cottage and its lovely setting. It certainly has everything to offer for a "home away from home". It also impressed the toughest critic of the group, my father, and that is certainly positive feedback for you all. We certainly hope to visit again in the not too distant future, and are busy singing Tyntynder Cottages praises to all our friends"
